1. Registration and Processing of User Data:
   The usage of all ticket shop functionalities is only possible following user registration. To this end, the user must enter their name, address and email address and possibly structure questions. MESSE ESSEN GMBH processes the user's personal data in observance with the data protection provisions applicable to the contract. The data will be recorded, processed and used in the scope required for the substantiation, design or modification of the contractual relationship. MESSE ESSEN GMBH is entitled to transfer these data to third parties commissioned with the implementation of the contract as far as this is required so that the concluded contracts can be fulfilled. Moreover, MESSE ESSEN GMBH will not pass on user data to third parties unless the user has issued express consent. The user can withdraw consent at any time without stating the reasons towards MESSE ESSEN GMBH.
   
   MESSE ESSEN GMBH offers so-called lead tracking at some trade fairs. This involves the user's contact details being transmitted to an exhibitor or sponsor when the exhibitor or sponsor scans the user's ticket/badge. The data includes first name, surname, company name and email address. If the user does not want their data to be passed on, they should not have their ticket/badge scanned.
   
   ONLY FOR EXISTING CUSTOMERS AND SIMILAR EVENTS:
   If you register in our ticket shop and enter your email address in connection with the conclusion of this contract, we may subsequently use it for direct marketing purposes. Only direct advertising for our own similar goods or services will be sent via newsletter. You can object to this use at any time without incurring any costs other than the transmission costs according to the basic rates. The legal basis is § 7 para. 3 UWG, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR.
   
   The data collected during registration will otherwise be used by MESSE ESSEN GMBH for statistical purposes, optimisation of business processes and further development of the event (e.g. by means of surveys).
2. Data Modification and Deletion:
   The user can retrieve and modify the data stored by MESSE ESSEN GMBH at any time via their user account. If user data is permanently deleted, a written notification must be sent to MESSE ESSEN GMBH. Note: personal data may only be deleted after a certain period due to legal or contractual storage obligations. In such cases, the data will be locked until deletion is possible.
3. Consent Requirement:
   All personal data entered when creating a user profile or when using online services will be processed with your consent. These services cannot be used (e.g. ticket registration) without agreeing to the declaration of consent.
4. Data Subject Rights:
   The data subject has the right to request confirmation as to whether personal data concerning them is being processed. If so, they have the right to access and obtain information about:

   • Recipients or categories of recipients, especially in third countries or international organisations

5. Cookies and Server Log Files:
   To enhance the user experience, cookies are used in some areas. Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s device for functionality like shopping carts or statistical analysis. MESSE ESSEN GMBH does not use technologies to identify users through cookies. The ticket shop can generally be used without cookies, though functionality may be limited. Web browsers can manage cookie settings individually.
   
   Each time the ticket shop is accessed, data from the accessing computer system is stored in server log files:

   3. IP address
   4. Date and time of access
   5. Referrer URL
   This data is stored temporarily to enable website delivery and is required for system security and optimisation. It is not evaluated for marketing purposes. There is no possibility for users to opt out of this collection. We may review this data in the case of suspected illegal use.
